Cigar Lighters
Cigar lighters are an essential part of the entire smoking experience. Furthermore, they are a necessary piece of equipment for any regular smoker as the simple act of lighting can greatly affect the experience and satisfaction of the smoke. Moreover, with such a large piece of tobacco to light, you don’t want to mess around with any gas station or hotel matches. Instead, you’ll need a flame that is strong to well light your tobacco the first time.
There are basically three choices to decide between. The classic is matches. These are looked down upon by many in the smoking community. The biggest problems is that the chemicals used to ignite the flame can be inhaled and added to the flavor of the tobacco when lighting. A way around this is to only use wood matches and to wait a moment to ensure that only the wood itself is lit.
The two other options are gas lighters. One for cigarettes is not acceptable, because its flame is not large enough and you’ll spend an unnecessary amount of time and inhalations just to light up. A large Zippo-style model will have a consistent flame that is large enough to light up quickly and without having to hold your fingers near the flame. A final option is a torch lighter. These are incredibly strong and will light the tobacco instantly. They have a much smaller flame, but it can be directed much easier than a match or Zippo flame.
These different choices will, of course, be more expensive as the efficiency increases.
